Terms of Service
Effective date: 6 November 2026
Terms version: ai-disclosures-r1
Introduction and acceptance
Domposer is a visual website builder. These Terms cover access to the editor, accounts, project storage, templates, exports and the optional AI Assistant on the Domposer website . The existing Privacy Policy identifies Ian Dunkerley as the owner and data controller.
When Terms acceptance is required, you must explicitly agree to the current version to complete registration or use authenticated project saving, importing and management. We record the version you accept and the time of acceptance. Reading these Terms, opening the Projects modal or having an existing account does not itself constitute agreement. If you do not agree, you can close the prompt, download your existing saved project ZIP files and access account deletion. These Terms apply where a valid agreement has been made.
Eligibility and accounts
Domposer welcomes users of all ages, including younger users, and does not set a blanket minimum age for using the editor or registering an account. Younger users may need permission or assistance from a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law; this does not mean that every younger user can independently enter a legally binding agreement. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to do so. Email verification confirms access to an email address; it does not establish age or parental consent.
You can use the editor without an account. An account is required to save and manage projects on the server and to import project ZIP files through Projects. Registration verifies your email using a one-time code and asks you to choose a username. Sign-in also uses an emailed one-time code rather than a password.
Provide an email address you control and keep your account information accurate. Protect your email account and sign-in codes, do not share codes, and sign out on shared devices. You are responsible for activity you authorise; this does not make you responsible for unauthorised activity caused by a failure for which Domposer is legally responsible. Contact the owner if you suspect misuse. An email change requires verification of the new address.
Using Domposer
Domposer is currently free to use. You can access and edit your website's HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You can start with a blank canvas or a supplied template, edit website content and styling visually, and export website files. Signed-in users can create, open, rename, describe, save, import and delete their saved projects. Imported project ZIP files must use a format supported by Domposer.
Review and test your exported files, including accessibility, security, third-party resources and suitability for your intended use. Creating, saving or previewing a project does not publish it as a publicly hosted website. Publishing and hosting are not provided by the current project workflow.
Your content and ownership
You retain ownership of websites, code, images and other original content you create or upload. Domposer does not acquire ownership of your content. Ownership of third-party materials remains with their respective rights holders.
You must have permission or another lawful basis to use materials you include, including images, fonts, code and personal information. Follow any applicable licence, attribution and privacy requirements.
You give the operator only the permission needed to store, copy, process and display your project content to provide the editor, project saving, loading, previews, imports and exports you request. This permission is limited to providing the service and handling deletion as described below; it does not grant permission to sell your content, use it in advertising or publish it for others.
Acceptable use
Do not use Domposer for unlawful content or activity, infringement of intellectual property, or violations of others' privacy. Do not upload or distribute malicious code, abuse service resources, bypass access controls, access another user's projects without permission, or attempt to compromise the platform or other users.
Domposer does not undertake to proactively monitor every project. Under these Terms, proportionate restrictions or removal of access or content may be necessary to address unlawful activity, a material breach or a security threat. Where lawful and practical, the owner should explain the reason and allow an opportunity to resolve the issue; urgent protective action may be necessary first. Contact the owner to dispute an action.
Saving, storage and backups
Guest work is held in the current browser's local storage, including browser storage used for images; it is not saved as an account project on the server. Browser data can be cleared, blocked or lost and does not automatically follow you to another browser or device. This describes project saving, not all website data collection: see the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy .
Signed-in users can save project data and associated files to their account on the server. Having an account alone does not mean every edit has reached the server. Check the editor's save status and resolve any save errors.
Standard accounts have a limit of 5 saved projects; the Projects modal shows the applicable quota. Administrator accounts are exempt from that project-count limit. Each server ZIP upload is limited to 1999 KB. No aggregate account storage quota is currently enforced, but storage is not promised to be unlimited.
Export regularly and keep independent backups of important work. Operational backups support service recovery, but browser storage, server saves and backups are not a promise of permanent storage or guaranteed recovery of an individual project. These precautions do not reduce any legal responsibility Domposer has for loss or damage.
AI Assistant (bring your own AI)
The AI Assistant is an optional feature. It may be unavailable, limited to certain accounts or offered as a trial, and may be changed or withdrawn. Domposer does not supply AI models, provider accounts, API keys or usage credits. You choose an AI provider and supply your own access to it, and you decide whether to use the feature at all. The editor works without it.
Third-party providers and direct requests
The selectable options are Ollama (a server address you enter, normally one you run yourself), OpenAI, OpenRouter and OpenAI-compatible services at an HTTPS address you enter. Your browser sends AI requests directly to the provider or address you select. Domposer's servers do not proxy, forward or process those requests or the provider's replies. Your relationship with a provider, including its terms, acceptable-use rules, age or eligibility requirements, privacy practices and security, is separate from your relationship with Domposer. You must follow the provider's terms and must not use another person's account or API key without permission. If you enter an address for a service you do not operate, that service's operator receives what the assistant sends.
What may be shared with a provider
When you use the assistant, the provider you selected can receive your messages and earlier messages from the current conversation, images you attach, the model and settings you chose, and any project content the assistant needs for your request. Depending on the request, that can include the HTML, text, CSS, element details and layout information of the page you are editing; a rendered image of your editing view where the assistant requests one and the model supports images; and, for requests to add pages, redesign or create a website, your project's pages, CSS, JavaScript and head code together with the names, types and sizes of your image assets. Your browser's and device's usual connection details, such as your IP address, are also visible to the provider. Domposer cannot inspect, redact or recall content once it has been sent. Do not use the assistant with content you are not permitted to share, such as confidential material or other people's personal information, unless you are satisfied that the provider's terms allow it. Speech input, where offered, converts speech to text on your device; the resulting text is then treated like any other message.
Provider billing, retention and policies
Providers bill you under your own account with them; Domposer does not charge for, estimate, cap or reimburse provider usage. Usage can be charged even if a request is cancelled, fails or its reply is discarded, and any figures shown in Domposer are only what the provider reports. Whether a provider keeps, reviews, logs or uses submitted content, including for model training or safety monitoring, and how long it does so, depends on the provider, your account type and your settings. Domposer does not control or monitor those practices and does not promise confidentiality, any training exclusion or any deletion by a provider. Read the provider's current terms and privacy information before use, for example OpenAI and OpenRouter . Providers reached through OpenRouter or another compatible service may have their own policies.
Conversations and attachments stored by Domposer
AI conversations belong to you as a user and are not saved inside an individual project. If you are signed in, completed conversations, including image attachments, are saved to your account in Domposer's private server storage so you can reopen them later. If you are not signed in, conversations and image attachments are kept only in your browser's local storage on that device and are not saved to your Domposer account. A conversation's provider is fixed when it begins; you may change the model within that provider. Storage limits apply and may change. Partial replies and your API key are not stored in a conversation. Assistant replies may quote or describe your project code, so stored conversations can contain project content.
You give the operator only the permission needed to store, copy, process and display your conversations and attachments to provide the features you request. This permission does not extend to selling your content or using it in advertising. Domposer does not own your prompts or the content you create with the assistant. Rights in AI-generated output depend on the law and on the provider's terms, and Domposer cannot guarantee that output is original, unique or free of third-party rights.
API keys
If you are signed in you may save an API key for a provider to your account. Saved keys are encrypted in Domposer's database using the application's encryption, which means the service can decrypt them when you ask it to. When you connect to a provider, the saved key is sent to your browser over the secure connection and held in memory for direct requests to that provider; it is not restored from browser storage and is cleared when you leave the page, close the assistant or change account or provider. Guests who enter a temporary key keep it in memory only. Encryption does not guarantee that a key can never be exposed. Use a key with spending limits and the narrowest permissions the provider offers, and revoke or replace it with the provider if you suspect misuse. You are responsible for charges made with your key.
Reviewing AI output
AI output can be wrong, incomplete, unsuitable or insecure. The editor may ask before applying a change or apply changes it judges to be safe, depending on the setting you choose; the assistant may not achieve the visual result you intended. You remain responsible for reviewing changes, using undo where needed, and testing exported websites, including accessibility, security and legal suitability. This section does not limit any liability described in the Liability section or any mandatory rights.
Deleting AI data
You can delete a conversation, and you can remove a saved API key. Deleting a signed-in conversation removes it, and any image attachments no longer used by another conversation, from live Domposer storage. Deleting a guest conversation removes it from that browser. Deleting a project does not delete AI conversations because they are not stored with projects. Account deletion removes your account, saved API keys and stored AI conversations and attachments from live Domposer storage, and initiates removal of private files, with retry if cleanup fails, as described under account and project deletion.
Deleting data in Domposer does not delete it from an AI provider, and removing a saved key from Domposer does not revoke it with the provider. Provider-side copies are governed by the provider's terms and settings, which you must manage with the provider. Deletion also does not remove copies you exported or copied elsewhere, guest conversation data in other browsers or devices, or temporary backup copies until they expire as described in the Privacy Policy. Guest conversations can also be lost when browser data is cleared. See the Privacy Policy for how Domposer handles AI-related personal data.
Availability and changes
Domposer may be updated or temporarily interrupted by maintenance, faults, security work or circumstances outside the operator's reasonable control. Continuous availability, compatibility with every browser, and a particular support response time are not guaranteed.
Changes may be needed to maintain security, comply with law or improve the editor. Under these Terms, material reductions to existing functionality or storage allowances should be explained in advance with reasonable time to export affected work, where practical. Urgent security or legal action may require shorter notice. This does not permit removal of mandatory consumer rights.
Account and project deletion
You can delete individual saved projects through Projects > Manage. To delete your account, use Projects > Account and the deletion controls: type DELETE, request a code sent to your current email address, then enter the code and repeat the confirmation.
Account deletion removes the account and its saved project records and initiates removal of associated private files and thumbnails. Saved AI conversations, image attachments and API keys are also covered, as described in the AI Assistant section. If private-file cleanup fails, removal remains pending for retry; deletion is not a guarantee that every file disappears instantly. Export anything you want to keep first. The application does not offer an undo or recovery mechanism for deleted accounts or projects.
Server deletion does not erase exports or copies stored on your devices, or copies held independently by others. Deleted data may remain in temporary backup copies until those copies expire under the backup rotation arrangements described in the Privacy Policy. Personal-data retention and erasure are addressed in the Privacy Policy, which permits retention where required by applicable legal obligations or other stated lawful grounds and does not specify a universal retention period. The backup rotation period does not apply to all logs, temporary files or other personal data, and does not promise immediate erasure from every copy.
Intellectual property
Your ownership of original project content is separate from rights in Domposer's software, name, branding, interface and supplied materials. Those rights remain with their respective owners. Using the editor does not transfer ownership of them to you.
The Starter and Portfolio template designs and code were generated specifically for Domposer. You may customise and export these original designs and code for personal or commercial projects. Third-party fonts, images, libraries and other assets remain subject to their respective licences and belong to their respective rights holders. Follow those licences when using or distributing exports; these terms do not replace them or grant rights the operator does not hold.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Your mandatory consumer rights, including applicable rights to reasonable care and skill and statutory remedies, remain unaffected.
Subject to those rights, the operator is responsible for loss or damage that is a reasonably foreseeable result of a breach of the agreement or a failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it is an obvious consequence or was reasonably contemplated when the agreement was made. The operator is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for problems caused solely by your unlawful use or unauthorised changes unrelated to any fault by the operator.
These Terms do not impose a financial cap on liability.
Changes to these terms
We will publish dated revisions on this page and explain material changes through a notice on the website. The notice will state the reason for the change and its effective date, allowing reasonable time to review it and export work or close an account before it takes effect. Urgent legal or security changes may require shorter notice, with an explanation.
Revisions apply prospectively and do not remove accrued or mandatory rights. When acceptance is required for a new version, you will be prompted to agree before using authenticated project features. Displaying a revision alone does not establish acceptance. You can decline and retain access to saved project downloads and account deletion.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their country of residence or restrict any right to bring proceedings in courts available to them under applicable law.

Types of Data collected
Among the types of Personal Data that this Website collects, by itself or through third parties, there are:
Cookies; Usage Data; email address; username; Terms acceptance version and timestamp; project content and uploaded files; AI conversation content and image attachments; saved AI provider API keys (encrypted).
Complete details on each type of Personal Data collected are provided in the dedicated sections of this privacy
policy or by specific explanation texts displayed prior to the Data collection.
Personal Data may be freely provided by the User, or, in case of Usage Data, collected automatically when using
this Website.
Unless specified otherwise, all Data requested by this Website is mandatory and failure to provide this Data may
make it impossible for this Website to provide its services. In cases where this Website specifically states that
some Data is not mandatory, Users are free not to communicate this Data without consequences to the availability
or the functioning of the Service.
Users who are uncertain about which Personal Data is mandatory are welcome to contact the Owner.
Any use of Cookies – or of other tracking tools – by this Website or by the owners of third-party services used
by this Website serves the purpose of providing the Service required by the User, in addition to any other
purposes described in the present document and in the Cookie Policy, if available.
Users are responsible for any third-party Personal Data obtained, published or shared through this Website and
confirm that they have the third party's consent to provide the Data to the Owner.
Accounts, projects and younger users
You can use the editor without an account. To create an account, we ask for an email address and a username. We send a one-time code to your email so you can sign in without a password. When you accept the Terms, we store the accepted version and the time of acceptance. When you save projects to your account, we store the project files, uploaded assets and thumbnails needed to provide that service. Request logs may also contain your IP address, account identifier and the pages requested.
Domposer welcomes people of all ages. We do not ask for your date of birth. An email code verifies access to an email address; it does not prove your age or that a parent or guardian has agreed. Younger users may need help or permission from a parent or legal guardian where applicable law requires it. If you or your parent or guardian have questions about account data or want to request its deletion, contact [email protected] .
AI Assistant (bring your own AI)
The AI Assistant is optional. You choose a provider and use your own access to it. This section explains what the Owner stores and what goes directly to providers. See also the AI Assistant section of the Terms of Service .
Requests sent directly to AI providers
Your browser sends AI requests directly to the provider you select: Ollama at an address you enter, OpenAI, OpenRouter, or an OpenAI-compatible service at an HTTPS address you enter. The Owner does not route, proxy, record or receive these requests or the provider's replies. The Owner is not the controller of what a provider does with data you send it; that provider (or the operator of the address you entered) handles it under its own terms and privacy policy, and the Owner cannot see or control it. Your IP address and similar connection details are visible to the provider.
What is sent depends on your request. It can include your messages and earlier messages in the conversation, images you attach, the model and settings you chose, and project content such as the HTML, text, CSS, element details and layout of the page you are editing, a rendered image of your editing view when the assistant requests one and the model supports images, and for page, redesign or new-website requests your project's pages, CSS, JavaScript, head code and the names, types and sizes of image assets. Project content can contain personal data, including about other people. Do not send what you are not permitted to share. Speech input converts speech to text on your device and only the resulting text is used as a message.
Providers bill you under your own account. Whether and how long a provider keeps submitted content, whether it is reviewed or used for model training, and whether it can be deleted depend on the provider, your account type and your settings; the Owner makes no promise about these. Provider information: OpenAI and OpenRouter . Local Ollama use keeps requests on the machine or network you point it at; a remote address sends them to whoever runs it.
AI conversations and images stored by the Owner
Conversations belong to your user account, not to an individual project. If you are signed in, completed conversations (your messages, assistant replies, the provider and model used, settings and basic usage figures) and any image attachments are saved to private storage on the Owner's server infrastructure in the United Kingdom so you can return to them. They are not encrypted end to end, and the Owner or others with administrative access to the server may technically be able to access them. Partial streaming replies and API keys are not stored in conversations. Assistant replies may quote or describe your project code, so a conversation can contain project content and personal data. Storage limits apply. Saving and retrieving conversations uses the same hosting and Cloudflare infrastructure as other requests to this Website.
If you are not signed in, conversations and image attachments are kept only in your browser's storage (IndexedDB, with some preferences in local or session storage) on that device. They are not saved to the Owner's servers. They remain until you delete them or clear browser data, and may be visible to others who use the same browser profile. AI provider and model preferences, timeout settings and any custom service address you enter are also kept in your browser; none of these contain an API key.
These conversations are stored to provide the history and continuity features you request, on the basis of performing the agreement with you. The Owner keeps them until you delete them or your account is deleted; no fixed retention period applies.
Saved API keys
Signed-in users may save a provider API key. It is stored in the Owner's database in encrypted form, separately from conversations and projects. The Owner's application holds the means to decrypt it so that it can return the key to your browser when you connect to a provider; this transfer uses the Website's secure connection through the same infrastructure, including Cloudflare, as other requests. The browser keeps the key in memory only; it is not restored from browser storage and is cleared when you leave the page, close the assistant or change account or provider. Guests' temporary keys stay in browser memory and are not sent to the Owner. Keys are not intended to be logged. You can remove a saved key at any time, and you should revoke it with the provider if you believe it has been exposed.
Deletion of AI data
Deleting a signed-in conversation removes it, and any attachments no longer used by another conversation, from live storage. Deleting a guest conversation removes it from that browser. Removing a saved key deletes it from the Owner's database. Deleting an account removes saved API keys and initiates removal of stored conversations and attachments together with other private account files, with retries if cleanup fails. Deleting a project does not delete conversations.
This does not delete anything held by an AI provider, and removing a key from Domposer does not revoke it with the provider. Copies you exported, other browsers or devices, and temporary backup copies remain until removed or expired as described under Operational backups and deleted data, to the extent that backups include this data. You can contact the Owner at [email protected] to ask about or exercise your data protection rights regarding data the Owner holds.
Optional analytics and cookie choices
Google Analytics, Inspectlet and Statcounter are optional services used to understand website use and performance; Inspectlet can record sessions. Their scripts are loaded only after consent to the respective service, including a choice saved from an earlier visit. Optional choices start unchecked. You can reopen cookie settings using the editor's cookie settings control and save different choices. Google Analytics collection is disabled when its consent is withdrawn. Withdrawing consent after Inspectlet or Statcounter has been loaded reloads the page to stop that tracking runtime. Withdrawing consent does not recall information already sent to a provider.
Provider privacy information: Google , Inspectlet and Statcounter . See also our Cookie Policy . These optional cookie choices are separate from accepting the Terms.
Mode and place of processing the Data
Methods of processing
The Owner takes appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or
unauthorized destruction of the Data.
The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, in some cases, the Data may be
accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of this Website.
Legal basis of processing
The Owner may process Personal Data relating to Users if one of the following applies:
Users have given their consent for one or more specific purposes. Note: Under some legislations the Owner may be
allowed to process Personal Data until the User objects to such processing (“opt-out”), without having to rely on
consent or any other of the following legal bases. This, however, does not apply, whenever the processing of
Personal Data is subject to European data protection law;
provision of Data is necessary for the performance of an agreement with the User and/or for any pre-contractual
obligations thereof;
processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the Owner is subject;
processing is related to a task that is carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official
authority vested in the Owner;
processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Owner or by a third party.
In any case, the Owner will gladly help to clarify the specific legal basis that applies to the processing, and
in particular whether the provision of Personal Data is a statutory or contractual requirement, or a requirement
necessary to enter into a contract.
Retention time
Personal Data shall be processed and stored for as long as required by the purpose they have been collected for.
Therefore:
Personal Data collected for purposes related to the performance of a contract between the Owner and the User
shall be retained until such contract has been fully performed.
Personal Data collected for the purposes of the Owner’s legitimate interests shall be retained as long as needed
to fulfill such purposes. Users may find specific information regarding the legitimate interests pursued by the
Owner within the relevant sections of this document or by contacting the Owner.
The Owner may be allowed to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever the User has given consent to such
processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn.
Furthermore, the Owner may be obliged to retain Personal Data for a longer period whenever required to do so for
the performance of a legal obligation or upon order of an authority.
Users may request access, rectification or erasure of their Personal Data, and portability where applicable, under data protection law. These rights are not removed by the expiry of a retention period. Temporary backup copies are handled as described below.
Operational backups and deleted data
A backup job is configured to make daily copies of the MySQL database, private project files and project thumbnails. Copies are stored privately on the owner's NAS and are not publicly accessible. Automatic backup rotation is configured for seven days.
The first manual backup completed successfully. Automatic scheduled execution has not yet been verified. Backups or rotation may fail, so a successful daily backup, uninterrupted rotation or recovery of any particular project is not guaranteed.
Deleting a project or account initiates removal from the live service. Failed self-service account file cleanup may require retries. Deleted data may remain in temporary backup copies until those copies expire. If rotation fails, older copies may remain until the failure is resolved. The seven-day rotation applies to these backups, not to all logs, temporary files, third-party provider records or other personal data. Their retention depends on their purpose and applicable legal requirements.
The purposes of processing
The Data concerning the User is collected to allow the Owner to provide its Services, as well as for the
following purposes: Analytics, Infrastructure monitoring, Advertising, Hosting and backend infrastructure, User
database management, Registration and authentication, AI assistant features (conversation and credential storage) and Traffic optimization and distribution.
Users can find further detailed information about such purposes of processing and about the specific Personal
Data used for each purpose in the respective sections of this document.
Detailed information on the processing of Personal Data
Personal Data is collected for the following purposes and using the following services:
Domposer is hosted on privately managed server infrastructure located in the United Kingdom. Cloudflare is used for DNS, traffic proxying, security and related website infrastructure services.
This type of service allows this Website to distribute their content using servers located across different
countries and to optimize their performance. Which Personal Data are processed depends on the
characteristics and the way these services are implemented. Their function is to filter communications between
